When you say go, students should read their sentences, find the matching picture and write the number on the picture next to each sentence. Hang up the corresponding pictures around the room. Print a copy of the read the room page for each student. Print/cut out pictures and remove the sentences. Have students read the sentence and then find the matching picture. Print/laminate/cut out the cards and the sentences that you want to use. It can be used as a center/small group activity, or it can be used as a Read the Room whole group game, These cards have a YELLOW outline to indicate they are from Unit 3 of my decodable units which includes blends & digraphs (and floss words). These sentences follow my scope and sequence for both phonics and high frequency words. I created this resource as a way for you to incorporate more reading into your centers or daily activities.
